National SME Incubator Scheme (NSIS)

1. Background ​The National SME Incubator Scheme (NSIS)  is one of the key schemes of the MRIC aiming at promoting initiation and development of innovative start-ups facilitated by a network of Private Sector-led accredited business incubators. The NSIS ensures a structured training/mentoring approach to start ups, provided by the NSIS Accredited Incubators in three phases: i) Ideation: From idea to first plan. ii) Incubation: From first plan to prototype. iii) Acceleration: From prototype to first sales. The Mauritius Research and Innovation Council (MRIC) is inviting proposals for multidisciplinary research and/or innovative projects that can potentially improve and accelerate the national response to the challenges posed by the oil spill and to contribute to remedial and recovery efforts.  Eligibility: Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), enterprises, private organisations, public and private institutions, academia and research institutions. Deadline:
The deadline for submission of proposals has been extended to Friday, 25th September 2020.
